All you need to know
We run 3 classes/day of 90mins with 10 children/class,
teaching around 150 children/week using the whole school day.
EDUCATION THROUGH COOKING
We teach nursery to 18yrs. Using the National Curriculum our chefs plan the KidsCanCook lessons to include relevant aspects of maths, science, history, and geography, in relation to the food we eat. Working on team building, facing food fears and discussing likes/dislikes and the environmental impact of our eating habits on the world around us.
FOOD ALLERGIES & RELIGIOUS RESTRICTIONS
We require detailed information about every child with allergies or foodstuffs they are bot allowed/able to eat. These will be discussed in detail with the school and may include a parental consent form.
HEALTH & SAFETY
This is of paramount importance to KidsCanCook. Every class starts with a Health & Safety briefing to children and assisting staff. All KidsCanCook staff are Police checked. We require at least one site visit for Health & Safety issues and to conduct a risk assessment.
FACILITIES
We need safe access. Our vehicle is 3m Wide 3m High and 8.5m Long. (Similar size to a fire tender) We need access to water via our 25m hose. we carry 50m of electric hook up cable which will plug into a standard socket.
